For one, the lashes are excellent quality and Shanna customizes your look and, for me, does amazing natural full sets. My old lash spots used poor quality lashes and glue that bothered my sensitive skin and did not last long.
Also, the space is so relaxing and clean - I immediately decompress when I step inside for my lash appointment. The staff is incredibly professional - Shanna is so kind and truly cares about her clients and their satisfaction. It is easy to schedule appointments and, unlike past experiences, Shanna schedules well so appointments dont overlap.
I regularly recieve compliments on my lashes and love that they make me feel like I don't need to wear eye makeup! read less

The space is clearly designed to relax you the minute you arrive, and it works! And having searched high & low through the years for a studio that uses quality products applied with exceptional talent, I was so immensely grateful when I finally discovered Shanna & MadLash! My lashes are full and lush for weeks after application & I constantly receive compliments about them - fooling most people, who openly tell me that they can’t believe they aren’t real. I worked with Shanna early on to choose the most appropriate length, and she & her staff have provided me with the same quality of lashes every time for nearly 3 years. The investment I made - and continue to make - at MadLash bears out its value every time I leave. I often tell my friends that if I ever left this area, I would still have to come back to Alexandria to get my lashes done because I know I’ll never find this level of quality & service anywhere else - and believe me, thanks to my work as a travel nurse, I’ve tried! I cannot recommend Shanna & MadLash enough - you will never regret making the investment with these lashes & ladies and you will never turn back to any other kind of lashes either! After my lashes were installed I was given a mini brush to care for my lashes as well as home care instructions. The shop is very clean and professional. You immediately experience a sense of peace upon entering the salon. Masks are worn the entire time and hand sanitation is a requirement (provided at the shop) prior to beginning the service. I am very pleased with my lashes and my husband loves them too. I have booked another appointment 3 weeks out. I highly recommend Shanna at MadLash!!! read less

Shanna provided my service and the overall experience was professional, pleasant, and accommodating. Shanna listened to my needs and made recommendations based on our brief discussion. My lash set was phenomenal! I loved it so much that I became a regular, booking my fill appointments every three weeks like clockwork! Everything could be easily booked and rescheduled online (within policy), and the quality of service never declined.
Once the girls opened the wax suite at Madlash, I became a regular client of Shereja, who has many years of experience as an esthetician. The is comfortable with male and female waxing, from brows and face waxing to brazilian waxing and legs! Each experience with her is pleasant, painless (as possible - all things considered), and never awkward. They only use quality wax - so if you have skin sensitivities, that isn't a problem at all.
The studio is clean and beautiful, and these ladies alway have me in and out on time for each service. Everything is ALWAYS sterile and I always feel safe, even during COVID. The added plus is that this is a black owned, woman owned establishment. I will continue to be a Madlash client for as long as I am in the area. Highly recommended! read less

I actually went in to relax my lashes, because they were too curly and Shanna reassured me that wouldn't be an issue. I walked out with my lashes looking better than I've ever seen them look in my life! I will definitely be returning as this has been life changing for me. My lashes used to constantly cause eye irritation due to poking inwards and this issue has now been resolved. Shanna is extremely professional and kind! I got my lashes lifted awhile ago by a different salon. The salon didn't specialize in lashes and it seemed like a recent add on service. The person who did my lashes at this old place put the treatment on and left me there for a long time and once the procedure was over, my lashes were lifted, but some of them were so lifted that they started to curl back and they looked weird. I didn't have anything to compare them to, so I figured it was just something that happened or maybe my lashes didn't take the treatment so well or maybe TOO well. HAHA...
I decided to give it another try with this new place I found on Yelp. They specialize in lashes and I'm telling you, I'll NEVER go anywhere else after my experience here. The salon is beautiful, clean, smells so inviting, is in an easy area with great parking, contactless payment AND you can make an appointment online with ease. I honestly felt kind of like I was getting a facial, that's how comfortable and delicate the procedure was. During the procedure, she got up maybe twice to grab something, but other than that was always sitting and watching how my lashes were taking the treatment. It was awesome! AND, they look great with no curl back.

This place is adorable! The decor in there is cute. It's very calm, quiet, and relaxing. For a bigger girl, the tables are wide enough for me to be comfortable, which is a plus! I got my lashes done by Tiana, she was very calming and immediately took me into the room after I finished my paperwork. She asked me how I wanted my lashes. I told her but I think I may have been too broad. Personal preference, I could have had lashes a little longer and thicker but I only got a signature set, so that might be why. She was so gentle and took her time looking at my eyelashes from different angles and everything to make sure they were perfect, and they are very well done! She dried my lashes and then I open my eyes... and you know if you get your lashes done a lot the glue can sometimes be very very strong, to the point of you crying! I opened my eyes and nothing.. not one tear, my eyes weren't even watering. This place found the secret to eyelash extensions. Will definitely be coming back read less

Shanna had me complete a questionnaire and then asked me how I liked my lashes to look (instead of simply putting the same standard set on everyone). She covered me with a soft, fluffy blanket (because I always get chilly) and quietly did my lashes.
Shanna is such a warm, pleasant person who is very skilled at what she does. She is an expert at lashes and only does lashes( instead of being average and providing multiple services). The difference is major. She is the best in the area.

Thank God the lash technician was patient- at times, I couldn't keep my eye from twitching!

Kayla took the time to make sure EVERY lash was pointing in the proper direction (even the weird ones that were growing out of odd places!). They look 100% natural and I can't wait to put on some mascara in another day to see how they look. I can go to work without ANY make-up on my eyes and feel totally put together. They were all kinky and pointing in different directions before...now they are perfect.

I made an appointment for a Sunday morning and my experience with Morgan was fantastic. She made me feel comfortable immediately, walked through all my questions, and explained each step as she did it. I loved the result - so much that I went back tonight to have another lift. The lash lift lasted about 6 weeks (and that’s something since my lashes are short and very straight) and I love how it looks. I can’t recommend MadLash and Morgan enough!! read less

So I chose the Signature look which was mentioned as most popular in a lot of reviews. Her assistant, Kayla was very nice and welcoming and the owner, Shanna did my lashes. I did my research for months and I am not sure what was going on, whether I was nervous, had anxiety or just thought too hard about keeping my eyes shut, but my eyes just kept flickering! Ugh! Then I was embarrassed and wanted to cry but remembered you have to keep your lashes dry and told myself to get it together! As much as it was frustrating for me, I am sure it was for her too but she was remained professional and patient with me. In the end, they came out perfect, way better than I expected and I LOVE my lashes! I can't stop looking in the mirror at them! Ofcourse their awesome reviews got me to go there and it did not disappoint! I saw Shana for a full set. I was greeted at first by a very nice lady at the front. Then Shana came to me and asked me what I wanted and what my expectations were. I was looking for a more noticeable but natural look and trusted Shana! Took about 2 hours to do the full set. The atmosphere was so calming! After the 2 hours she handed me the mirror and I was wowed!! Looked like my own lashes got longer curlier and perfect. It added such a freshness to my face. I recently added brow service to my regular treatments. Just as she is with the lashes, she is with the brows. She has given me strategies at home that help with regrowth and are more cost effective than expensive serums. Her work lasts and just makes my eyes pop -- without makeup. My morning routine is so much easier. I save money on mascara because I never use it anymore. A swipe a shadow base on normal days and a little shimmer for more fun times and I'm out the door.

Several of my clients were coming in with amazing looking lashes and everyone kept telling me about Shanna. I finally decided to give these extensions a try since I was going to Hawaii on vacation and would not want to put my eye lashes strips on daily with the beach and pool. I brought several photos with my strip on to show Shanna, and I was a little sceptical they would look as good and full as when I glue them on. We got started on time and the environment was clean, smelled good and very relaxing. I was nervous to try a new place for lash extensions because the first place I tried wasn't successful. These 5 stars all go to her! She welcomed me when I walked in and offered me refreshments and snacks. It's beautiful and professional inside. I told Marilyn I wanted a natural look and before she started she asked if she could ask her boss to come in for a second opinion. Marilyn is the definition of professional. I felt very comfortable and could fall asleep because of her relaxing touch. It's been a couple days since my appointment and I have had no fallout! Shanna was by far the best lash technician I've had, these lashes have held on for much longer than usual, and her work is beautiful. The salon is beautifully decorated, clean and inviting.
